The library of the Kentucky Genealogical Society used to be housed just off the Archives Research Room, however, the KGS Library was donated and moved to the Kentucky History Center in May 1999.   The KGS left over 100 reference books on county records in the Archives Research Room, for patron use.   These are mainly extracts and indexes to county records, to help patrons locate original records on microfilm and elsewhere.
